Abstract
The article offers information on contemporary discourse on photography, the concept of dematerialization. Topics discussed include distrust of technological matters of photography in critics like loss of the indexicality of photography in the 1990s; importance of technical knowledge of the production, storage and distribution of digital artefacts; and role of digital technology in conflict between digital dematerialization and re-materialization of the medium.
