Abstract
Holotype of Anictangium orthotrichoides Gillies ex Grev. with coloured sketch by R. K. Greville. Greville did not indicate if he received the mosses directly from Gillies, or via Hooker in Glasgow, but the annotation on the specimen indicates that Greville received the specimens in 1825. Three other Gillies mosses described by Greville ([5]) in the same paper are as follows: B I Didymodon reticulatus i b Gillies ex Grev., Edinburgh Journal of Natural and Geographical Science 2(1): 2. 1830.
