Abstract
The article offers information related to the concerns of author regarding black children's suicide rates due to dehumanization of children of color. Topics include phenomenon of elementary Black and male students suicide rates quadrupling in the last decade; experience a loss of innocence due to trauma imposed by school policies and practices; and impact of Negative encounters and discipline on children of color.
