Abstract
The article discusses the archaeology of various gardens worldwide, how they changed over time and what they can tell about the people and cultures who nurtured them. Topics include the complexity and functions of a villa garden in Bay of Naples, Italy according to Cornell University's Kathryn Gleason and the discovery by archaeologist José Manuel Galán of the Spanish National Research Council of a well-preserved garden buried under more than 15 feet of debris in Luxor, Egypt.
