Abstract
Epithelioid sarcoma is an uncommon soft‐tissue sarcoma, with its ‘proximal’ subtype occurring in the pelvic and genital areas and behaving more aggressively. This is the first report of a proximal subtype in a site of previously resected malignant melanoma, highlighting the key cytological and histological features in distinguishing these two epithelioid malignancies.
