Abstract
A facile, rapid and one-pot procedure for the synthesis of some new 2,4(1 H,3 H)-quinazolinediones is described. The method involves the one-pot condensation of isatoic anhydride, primary amine and carbonyl diimidazole (CDI) in the absence of organic or inorganic catalyst.
