Abstract
The authors discusses the reasons why they believe that cognitive health is necessary to ensure quality of life and independence across an individual's life span, and it mentions the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's views about intuition, judgment, and brain health. America's National Institute on Aging is addressed, along with cognition in children and young adults. Cognitive deficits and U.S. public health are assessed, along with mentally ill individuals in the country.
