Abstract
In this article, the author focuses on the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) studies led by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation which reveals migraine as a cause of disability in people below 50 years of age. It mentions impact of headache disorders on public health is better indicated by years lived with disability. It states non-communicable disorders include neurological disorders, headache disorders like migraine, tension-type headache (TTH) and medication-overuse headache (MOH).
