Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted by the authors on risk factors and covariates of functional limitations in elderly living in India. Topics discussed include problems in performing activities of daily livings (ADLs) such as walking and getting out of bed; positive association between functional limitations and wealth possession; an increase in risk factors for functional limitations due to smoking and chronic diseases.
