Abstract
The article presents a study that examined how stress from cancer affects fruit and vegetable consumption (FVC) in cancer patients and their family caregivers following diagnosis. The findings revealed that there is evidence that patients' and family caregivers' cancer-related stress may revive patients' FVC after treatment, that the stress also showed gradual increase in caregivers' FVC, and that interventions may capitalize on the "teachable moment" promoted by the challenges of cancer.
