Abstract
The article examines the chronology and technological development of human occupation of the karstic mountains, as well as the rock art and settlement history of East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The study provides perspectives on the conservation of cultural and natural sites in the karstic range and proposes the implementation of site museums to help raise the sensitivity of local communities to nature and culture conservation and protection.
