The article discusses the implication of the austerity measures referendum of the Syriza political party in Greece for the reform plan of the government. Particular focus is given to the ratification by the political party that the referendum would give the government a mandate to move forward with a plan that could meet the demands of other finance ministers in Europe and its option to default on the country's debt payments, exit the European Union and re-adopt the Drachma as its currency.
