Abstract
The article discusses research which investigated role of inorganic polyphosphate (polyP) in human epidermal cell survival, motility, and proliferation. Topics explored include the observed response of human skin keratinocytes to ultraviolet B (UVB) exposure or wounding, the measurement of intracellular Saccharomyces cerevisiae exopolyphosphatase 1 (ScPPX1) activity, and the contribution of extracellular polyP to the acceleration of wound healing.
