Abstract
The article offers information on a study of the alternative design of a one-sided interchange. The study discusses nontraditional interchange designs which focus on improved performance and safety and land savings, the surrogate and operational safety and geometric characteristics of the one-sided, all-directional system interchange for freeways adapted from the Ring Road and Aurobindo Marg Interchange (RRAMI) in New Delhi, India, and the design's advantages for freeway-to-freeway operations.
