Abstract
The article discusses the primary care facilities under the prevention-of-mother-to-child-transmission (PMTCT) in Khayelitsha, South Africa. Topics discussed include antenatal antiretroviral therapy (ART), HIV testing through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in infants aged 6 weeks, and two case studies of positive HIV polymerase chain reaction.
