Abstract
The article discusses the use of propaganda by the government of Russian President Vladimir Putin, focusing on its spread outside of Russia. Topics include so-called hybrid warfare used in Ukraine; plans by the European Union (EU) to begin investigating the extent of disinformation and possible methods of countering it; and the role of Russian news sources such as the television network RT (formerly Russia Today).
