Abstract
The article discusses a global war against the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) terrorist group in Iraq involving the U.S. military and several of its allies. Shi'ite militiamen and Kurdish Peshmerga Army soldiers are mentioned, along with the U.S. Central Command's claim that up to 2,000 ISIS troops are posted in Mosul, Iraq. Military coalition bombing attacks are examined, along with the mass execution of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians and the burning death of a Jordanian pilot.
