Abstract
Information on topics discussed at the workshop entitled "Ethnography and Modern Languages: Critical Reflections," which was held on November 4, 2017, is presented. Topics discussed include the role of ethnographic theories and practices in light of modern languages discipline, the use of ethnographic methods toward a meaningful engagement with research participants, and ethnography as a process of collaboration, learning, and exchange between various types of expertise.
