Abstract
The article talks about the selection of critical topics for arguments or debates. It discusses the procedure utilized by the field of law, such as the Supreme Court, in determining the arguments worthy to be heard of. The uncertainty in the manner in which the Supreme Court chooses the cases to hear and the Supreme Court's refusal to grant certiorari to a specific case are offered. The manner of choosing the right topic to focus on in the fields of journalism, business and science and some guidelines for the restrictions on affirmative policies in debates are also discussed.
