Abstract
Evidence for use of the Quick Interactive Language Screener (QUILS™) to measure the relationship between socioeconomic status and language development1 B Q b Is the Quick Interactive Language Screener (QUILS™) a valid measure to identify relationships between children's socioeconomic status and language development skills? Despite the measure being used (QUILS™) being designed to minimize bias to SES and dialect status, differences were found in raw scores across language domains by SES. Socioeconomic status (SES) was the between-subjects factor (very high, high and mid-low levels of poverty) and the within-subjects factor were language domain components (Syntax, Vocabulary, Language process).
