Abstract
The article explores the role of school-based speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in the treatment of children with selective mutism. SLPs are advised to collaborate with colleagues about treating selective mutism. The 2016 Scope of Practice of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is suggested for identifying the roles and responsibilities of SLPs in collaborative intervention for selective mutism.
