Abstract
This paper investigates reports of nonverbal behaviors as transformative: as important interactional triggers for a change in or between people in a relationship. The most commonly reported nonverbal cues that instigated transformation were facial expressions, eye behavior, touch, and personal space. Analyses revealed that judgments of behavior valence were correlated positively with judgments of relationships, other people, and themselves, suggesting nonverbal turning points may have strong implications for other judgments. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
