Patient satisfaction in ambulatory care (ZAP): developement [sic], testing and application of a questionnaire.

Abstract
Objective of this article is to describe a questionnaire assessing patient satisfaction in ambulatory care (ZAP). A pilot study applying the ZAP was conducted in autumn 2007 with more than 600 patients of the Catholic Care Assistance ('Katholische Pflegehilfe') in Essen, Germany. By means of factor analysis the scales 'satisfaction with care' and 'satisfaction with time management' as well as 'total score satisfaction' were extracted. With the description of a benchmarking a potential application of the questionnaire is presented. Finally, results of the pilot study and the potential of improvement of the ZAP are discussed.
