Mesmo 56 anos após a publicação da NGB, ainda nos deparamos com múltiplas divergências de nomenclatura gramatical entre autores/gramáticos. Uma delas está relacionada com a transitividade do verbo “ir”. Este artigo objetiva comprovar a existência dessas divergências nas obras de alguns autores/gramáticos. Para tanto, conceituamos certos fenômenos e termos gramaticais, como predicação verbal, regência do verbo “ir” e natureza dos complementos verbais e do adjunto adverbial, para orientar melhor os leitores. Como metodologia, foram analisados livros didáticos e gramáticas pedagógicas com a finalidade de observarmos como seus autores assumiram essas divergências ligadas à transitividade do verbo “ir” ao apresentarem esse conteúdo em suas obras. Mediante análise e discussão dos dados, obtivemos como resultado a constatação da falta de consenso entre os estudiosos quanto à transitividade do verbo “ir”, principalmente no que tange à natureza e à nomenclatura de seu complemento. Concluiu-se que a mesma discrepância de opiniões existente entre gramáticos tradicionais acerca da transitividade do verbo se faz presente também entre os livros didáticos analisados neste estudo. Quanto às gramáticas pedagógicas analisadas, percebeu-se que seus autores são unânimes quanto à transitividade do verbo “ir”, no que diz respeito à classificação e natureza do termo que o acompanha no predicado.//Even after 56 years after the NGB publication, we still face multiple differences in grammar nomenclature between the authors/grammar experts. One of them is related to the transitivity of the verb 'to go'. This work aims to prove the existence of the differences among some authors/grammar experts' works. For this, was conceptualized certain phenomena and grammar terms, such as verbal predication, verbal regency of the verb 'to go' and the nature of the verbal complements and the adverbial adjunct, to better guide the readers. As methodology, was analyzed didactic books and pedagogical grammars with the purpose of observing how the authors took on this differences related to the transitivity of the verb “to go” as they presented this content in their works. Through the data analysis and discussions, a lack of consensus between the scholars when it comes to the transitivity of the verb 'to go' was obtained as a result to this finding, especially related to the nature and the nomenclature of its complement. We concluded that the same gap in the opinions exists between the traditional grammar experts about the transitivity of the verb can also be found between the didactic books that were analysed in this work. About the pedagogical grammars analysed, we noticed that their authors are unanimous as for the transitivity of the verb 'to go', when it comes to the classification and nature of the term that follows it in the predicate.
