Abstract
In this article the authors apply the multi-level augmentation method for solving operator equations of the first kind via the Tikhonov regularization method. A new a posteriori parameter choice is introduced, which leads to optimal convergence rates. Numerical experiments are presented, illustrating the efficiency of the approach.
