Abstract
In this paper the authors introduce $\alpha$-point finite families and metacompactness in $L$-topological spaces. A characterization for metacompactness in the weakly induced $L$-topological spaces that involve well monotone and directed $\alpha$-$Q$-covers is obtained. It is further proved that the metacompactness obtained is closed hereditary.
