Abstract
The article provides information on the topics discussed by Sarah Ellis and Maria Cotera during the event called "From the armchair to Uganda: International activism as a means of professional development." Ellis cites her experiences as an organizational officer for Literacy and Adult Basic Education (LABE) with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) in Kampala. Meanwhile, Cotera's works in professional activism "from the armchair" via fundraising and committee participation are discussed.
