The article focuses on the role of library volunteers in helping teacher-librarians manage school libraries. These volunteers provide much needed relief from a number of daily tasks, as well as free up time spent on more repetitive jobs. High school students, parents, caregivers of students, and even retired people can assume these responsibilities. Teacher-librarians only need to establish personal connections and maintain positive relationships.
