Abstract
A human judgement theory that includes a generic model of the judgement processes (elicitation, bias identification, and corrective actions) of the knowledge-acquisition task is presented. It is suggested that experts should be treated by the machine as fallible. A methodology called cognitive work analysis (CWA) for adapting the generic model knowledge to the specifics of an application is proposed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
