Abstract
A sample of 342 secondary school libraries in Israel was studied in order to find which input factors were related to library use, as indicated by circulation and visits in the library reading room. A weak correlation was found between ratios of collection size per student and ratios of use per student, indicating a certain degree of influence of collection size on library use. Opening hours and staff overall working hours were found to be positively related to library use. The professional education of the librarians and the number of seats were also found to have a positive relation to library visits but not to circulation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
