Abstract
Review of the holdings of four major Afro-American collections continues from 'Library Quarterly' 58(1). Describes holdings on the black experience in America in the Special Collections area of the Fisk University Library in Nashville, Tennessee. The library was established in 1866, but only began to develop its Afro-American collection in the late 1920's with the help of Arthur A. Schomburg. The author notes the nature and extent of the present Special Collections area, pointing out specific manuscript, music, and oral history resources for research in black studies.
