Abstract
In 1994, the Australian National University (ANU) received a grant for a Vietnam Networking and Database Development Project to build on the ANU's establishment of the first reliable electronic mail connection with Vietnam. The aim of the project was to network existing sources of information about Vietnam, to create additional databases as needed, to assist individuals in accessing information according to their specific needs, to convene a series of workshops in capital cities, and to advise people on how to obtain data from overseas locations.
