Abstract
The article discusses the study regarding the impact of engineering research in retaining and reduce attrition of engineering students. Topics discussed include the association of person orientation on engineering interest, the role of faculty encouragement in student retention, and the effect of participating in undergraduate research in students' interest in engineering careers.
