Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Handbook on Teaching Social Issues," by Ronald W. Evans and David Warren Saxe is presented. It examines the content of the book which is gestated to have no introduction to describe its scope, audience, and aims. The authors present two focal points in assessment of the subject of the book which lies on the notion that it sends mixed messages about the nature of teaching and learning and the research and teaching practice.
