Abstract
The article presents a reprint of the article "The Mentor Partnership: Discovery of Professionalism," by Janet A. Schmidt and Janice Sutera Wolfe, which appeared in the 1980 issue of "NASPA Journal." It discusses the significance of mentoring relationship to the growth and development of new professional staff in the field of student personnel administration. Several aims of the article are discussed such as the functions of a mentor and the guidelines for choosing a mentor.
