Abstract
The article features Bucknell University, which was established in 1846 as "The University at Lewisburg." Expansion on the scope of the university was made in the late 1800s including the incorporation of Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in chemical engineering. The universities' chemical engineering curriculum contains a broad required science base of mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biological and materials sciences. Students and special activities are discussed.
