Abstract
The article presents an interview with young adult authors including Brendan Kiely, Kristin Levine and Isabel Quintero. Topics discussed include issues of agency and activism in their presentations and writings; challenge faced by young people characters as they are not taken seriously because of their age and lack of experience; and responsibilities as an author.
