Abstract
A study investigated attitudes toward learning science and learning in general among cram school students in Taiwan. Participants were 45 Taiwanese cram school students aged around 14 years. Findings revealed that the majority of participants conceptualized learning science and learning in general as memorizing school knowledge, getting ready for tests, or practicing tutorial problems and processing calculations. Moreover, approximately 76 percent of participants demonstrated consistent views on learning science and learning in general, indicating possible underlying conceptions of learning in general. Other findings and implications of the study are discussed.
