Abstract
The article focuses on a program called Heart & Sole regarding development of middle school girls in the U.S. created by non profit organization Girls on the Run. Topics discussed include teaching life skills to girls through interactive lessons and activities; creating a positive environment for girls to explore ideas, empathy and life skills; and developing a model called Girl Wheel regarding helping adolescent girls talk about personal tensions like handling interpersonal relationships.
