Abstract
A 21-year-old man with Down's syndrome who exhibited unexplained depressive symptoms and intermittent features of a Parkinson-like syndrome was treated with amitriptyline for 18 months. Gradual improvements eventually saw almost complete recovery of his former personality. Discussion of undiagnosed but treatable depression among Down's syndrome patients is offered. (Author/PB)
