Abstract
Considers whether, following concern over the scale of professional negligence in the mortgage industry, the introduction of a new solicitors' code of conduct from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is likely to eradicate mortgage fraud. Discusses the core principles expected to form the basis for the code and the delayed revisions to the solicitors' indemnity insurance rules.
