Abstract
Notes the Lincoln County Court decision in Maynard v Oliver awarding total damages of GBP 40,775, including general damages of GBP 18,750, special damages of GBP 9,150 and a Smith v Manchester award of GBP 12,500 to a 21-year-old man who suffered fractures to his thoracic spine and wrist, a laceration to his knee and soft tissue injuries to his cervical spine when he was involved in a road traffic accident.
