Examines the implications for employers of the extension of the right to request flexible working to parents with children up to the age of 16. Explains the flexible working request process, listing the grounds on which a request can be refused. Notes the options available to employees if their request is refused. Offers advice to employers on the policy and procedures they need to put in place.
