Abstract
Highlights proposals by Ibec, in a submission to the Irish Government on measures to address the gender pay gap in Ireland, that the adoption of the "like for like data" approach used in the Australian model would be more meaningful than the gender representation gap approach used in the UK, which it believes is flawed as it compares the pay received by all working men and all working women, and does not indicate an absence of equal pay for equal work.
