Abstract
Comments on the House of Lords judgment in Jackson v Royal Bank of Scotland on whether a bank which in error sent documents containing confidential information to a customer regarding its supplier, which resulted in the customer terminating their contract with the supplier, was liable for loss of profits. Considers whether the bank was in breach of the confidential banker-customer relationship and therefore in breach of contract. Examines whether the claimant's loss was too remote.
