Abstract
Interviews Judge Lisa Tremewan, Auckland District Court judge, on the New Zealand Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment (AODT) Court pilot at the Waitakere and Auckland District Courts. Discusses the aims of the AODT programme, the extent to which they have been achieved, distinctive features of the New Zealand AODT Court, the participation of offenders and victims, the effect of the programme and ways in which it might be improved.
