Abstract
Reports on the findings of a joint investigation by the Dutch Data Protection Authority and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada into whether California-based mobile application developer WhatsApp Inc breached national privacy and data protection laws, in particular in relation to the retention and disclosure of personal data of users of its mobile messaging platform.
