Abstract
Examines the standard for informed consent for septoplasty and whether it accords with the requirements set down in Montgomery v Lanarkshire Health Board (SC). Draws on research from surgeons and patients to establish which complications and risks were routinely discussed and whether patients' reasonable expectations were being managed.
