Abstract
The variation of bilirubin concentration after wholebody x irradiation of the rat was studied. Male albino rats were exposed to doses of 500 to 950 r. In the nonirradiated animal bilirubin has a mean concentration of 0.91 mg/l. This concentration increases in the irradiated animal as a function of the dose administered. After a lethal irradiation, bilirubin increased 245% in several hours. (J.S.R.)
