Abstract
ABS>The routine evaporation method of beta activity determination in waste water with an end-window G-M tube was defined with more precision, and its sensitivity was improved. The introduction of double filtration measurements enabled the reliable beta activity determination in a mixture of unknown radioisotopes with substantially different beta spectra. This measurement enables also the qualitative determination of Sr/sup 90/ plus or minus Y/sup 90/ , i.e., of the radioisotopes with the strongest radiotoxicity. The method meets all requirements of hygienic rules of the Czechoslovak standard. (auth)
